The Lifester is a blog about relationships, karma, Kriya yoga, and managing depression and living happily. Life has its ups and downs and you’re definitely not the only questioning life. Sometimes the meaning of the weird and wonderful, high and low moments in life can be found through explanations about karma, sometimes in meditation, and sometimes there will be no answer at all and you will feel like you’re stuck in a dark cloud, and that’s OK too.
Even in your darkest days, remember that you are not alone. Someone else has experienced the depth of the pain you are feeling. You are not alone.
Life has its highs and lows and there are days when it feels like staying in bed would be easier than facing life. Even on those days remember that you are not alone. I hope this blog and some of my stories will remind you of that.
My name is Ritu and I’m a writer, an Atma Kriya Yoga and meditation teacher and an English Language teacher.
I set up The Lifester because I felt that there was not enough support for girls going through a quarter-life crisis and I wanted to help. I felt this way because I had a super challenging quarter life transition when I felt completely alone and nothing made sense.
As I grew, so did this blog and I found myself writing more about spirituality and meditation. Now, I write mainly about the transition of moving to a new country and dealing with the emotional journey of a major life transition. I have also dealt with depression in the past and blog about dealing with depression and positive mental health.
I usually post once a week and also vlog on my youtube channel. If you don’t want to miss any posts and videos, sign up for free updates by entering your email below:
