[accordion title=’Introduction from Ritu‘]I met Pru through my friend Kat and it felt like meeting a big sister with the nurturing aura of my Mum. I don’t know what it is about her, but she just makes you feel safe. I have a lot to learn from this incredible woman, 2015 is the year I get to hang out with my big sis, Pru.[/accordion]

Hi, my name is Prudence Proctor and I live in Manly, Sydney, Australia. I own Wisdom & Prudence Natural therapies and am a qualified Reflexologist, Reiki Master and Yoga teacher whose passion is to teach, empower and inspire others to live a life of happiness.

I am also the Founder and Director of the Zen Collective studio which is a collaborative initiative to support the growth of like minded businesses.

The hardest things I had to do in 2014

Taking the next step that my business required of me to grow. Setting up my yoga studio and therapy room meant I had to take a big risk financially and personally.

What I learnt from all this

I have a lot of self-motivation, faith and patience.

Nothing happens overnight, If you believe in yourself and what you have to offer the world then you have to be patient enough to keep working at and motivated enough to get up every time you fall.

Some accomplishments from 2014 that I’m proud of and happy about…

I am proud about the launch of my yoga studio and therapy space in Freshwater (Sydney) and happy that we are growing a beautiful community of like minded souls to share it with.

I also launched an initiative called the Zen Collective which was a response to other small businesses within the health and wellness industry looking to be a part of a bigger team whilst being able to keep their brand identity and vision. We now have 10 businesses (including mine Wisdom & Prudence) practicing and/or teaching from the studio.

Another goal and landmark was that I successfully booked out all of my Reiki courses this year. Teaching and sharing Reiki therapy is a major life purpose of mine so that for me is a massive thumbs up.

If you are feeling down at this time of year, my tip is

I would suggest to avoid engaging in unhealthy coping strategies like drinking too much, smoking, being too sedentary, eating too much junk food, not eating enough or not getting enough sleep.

We all know these a quick stress releases, instead set the money aside you would of spent on these things usually and save towards something that will enrich your soul like a course, holiday or workshop you may have been interested in.

At the beginning of the year I like to pencil in something every month that makes me happy  that is not tangible, meaning it has to be an experience.

My intention for 2015 is

My intention for 2015 is to evolve in my practices, take on professional development studies and enjoy the freedom more of running my own business.

In 2015, I am the Queen of Freedom.
