Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream and he declared it. He said “I have a dream” 8 times in his iconic speech on August 28, 1963 and followed those words up with declarations that eventually became truths. He realized the power of declaring his dream to millions and those dreams were shared by millions. He shouted out his dream to make it come true [themecolor]and that’s what I am about to do in the video below. [/themecolor]

In this video, I OUT my dream. It is no longer hidden in my closet like a dress I am ashamed of.

By telling you my dream [themecolor]out loud,[/themecolor] I have transformed it, changed it – it has [themecolor]shifted[/themecolor]. It is no longer just a little dream, it is now a PROMISE. It is now a verbal promise to myself, to the universe and to you who watched the video. Now that it is out, it is my job to make this dream come true, to achieve this goal.

Now, my request and challenge for you!

What is your dream? What is that thing that makes you SO excited that your heart nervously skips a beat? Post it in the comments below!

If you don’t know what your big dream is yet, take a deep breath, close your eyes and say to yourself “I want to know what my biggest dream is!” and wait for the answer to rise up. It might jump up, or it might rise after a few hours or even days. As SOON as you have it, tweet it out (don’t forget to tag me @rituashrafi) or post it on Facebook (tag me there too! so I can see it and cheer you on for it).

REMEMBER, your dream wont become a reality unless you acknowledge it, say it out loud (at the least to yourself) and then let the universe help you to make it come true. So out your dream right now!

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

Agreed! And remember to out your dream to several people, preferably a few times. It’s easy to push it out of your mind when you just have 1 or 2 conversations about it….but it will feel more and more real the more people you talk to. That’s what I’ve been experiencing, at least 🙂

I like the idea that you can change your dream to a promise to yourself and to others. What a sweet and true message! Right.. I will finish writing my first book by the end of this year!

You will definitely be self-employed in one-year! I’m holding space for you girl. Alright… here is my dream. It’s scary, I’m outing myself. I did it earlier over an email, but I’m going to do it here with you… because I love you:)

My dream right now… it’s not my biggest for my life; but, it is a block that I am over-coming… is to earn $10,000 a month from acting, writing and producing. I desire to do it THIS MONTH and to grow every month from there.

    There. I said it.

Thank you Arynetta! I love you too! You WILL make $10K this month. Good job saying it. Now watch it happen – the universe is in motion to make it happen!!!

    • I totally agree with you that outing your dream is super scary. Way to be courageous, girl! I was sharing with some girlfriends last night on this very topic of our ideal lives. I shared with them my desire and dream to write this summer about my first experience teaching and all the madness and miracles that went down at this school. I said the exact same thing you did, thats its scary. But like Ritu mentioned, the more we do it the more real it becomes! Many blessings to all of us sharing our dreams. Thanks Ritu!

Thanks Beeds! Can I ask you to get more detailed with the dream? Just like in a sleep dream all the details are there including little things like mood, temperature, sun or cloud, happy or scared and the whole world is there in full detail. In a similar way, think of the details of your dream! You WILL be on Forbes on 2020, for being a Fab female entrepreneur who was a mover an shaker in your specific industry. And what will you be wearing on your feature in Forbes? 😉 what pose will you stand in? Dream in technicolor!
      Love you lots sister!
